Ubud is famous for its world-class restaurants of all flavours. Try melt-in-the-mouth Asian fusion at The Melting Wok, gaze out over the river valley by candlelight and pick from the extensive wine list at Bridges, partake at the “restaurant gastronomique” with the hip foodies at Mozaic or the subtly spicy sensations of Vanilla Pod. There are endless choices packed into just a few main streets so if you fancy a walk beyond the ricefields you can wander until you spot the perfect location.
And while Ubud is known as a quiet and traditional town it doesn’t lack for excellent nightlife. There are salsa dancing evenings at wild Havana, an assortment of live musicians at The Jazz Cafe and late night liquid refreshment at the Laughing Buddha Bar.
A late dinner rounds out an evening after watching one of Ubud’s many traditional dance shows, from the elegant enactments of Balinese stories to the enigmatic and tribal Kecak.
If it all gets too much treat yourself to one of Ubud’s exceptional spas. While we can offer traditional massage in your villa almost any treatment you can imagine, and more to surprise you, can be found throughout Ubud, so why not thoroughly pamper yourself during your stay?
